Lucy is the founder of Lucy Jones Financial Services who aims to bring a fresh approach to the mortgage and financial advice industry, appealing to those who may have felt uneasy approaching a financial adviser previously. Based in the picturesque medieval town of Shrewsbury, Lucy works with clients both based in Shropshire, and also further afield.

‘Having worked for over 10 years for a network of over 120 financial advisers, I quickly began to see a trend of the characteristics of the typical IFA – Male, over 50 and someone I would not feel necessarily comfortable to approach should I or a family member been in need of financial advice. This got me thinking about the huge gap in the market for both younger and especially female financial advisers and the number of people we would be able to help.’

Lucy started to study for her CII exams and in 2019 became authorised as an Independent Mortgage Adviser. Shortly after in 2020 she completed her Diploma in Financial Planning and is now a regulated Independent Financial Adviser’ able to advise on Mortgages, Pensions, Investments, Protection and Equity Release.

Her future vision for Lucy Jones Financial Services is to educate, advise and inspire and ultimately have a team of like minded individuals who share her values helping to deliver honest, helpful financial advice tailored to each person’s unique circumstances.
